Standard tummy tuck procedures often require one or more days of bed rest in the hospital or recovery center.

Often our short recovery tummy tuck procedure is combined with other procedures like breast lift or liposuction, in what is called a “mommy makeover“. How It Is Done:
- A short recovery tummy tuck or mini tummy tuck lasts one to two hours
- Comfort assured by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. The short recovery tummy tuck can also be performed under local anesthesia with a light sedative.
- The incision is placed between the hips and is low enough for even a bikini to conceal it.
A mini tummy tuck consists of removing excess fat and skin from the lower abdomen and repairing the muscle separation (the “bulge”) if present.
The amount of skin and fat removed with a short recovery tummy tuck may be a lot or just a little, and the size of the incision will vary depending on the amount of skin that needs to be removed, not the amount of fat tissue present.
The “mini tummy tuck” is a more limited procedure which addresses only the lower abdomen. Some additional fat tissue may be removed from flanks and upper abdomen by liposuction at the same time as the tummy tuck.
