Vertical Breast Lift

Is this the lollypop lift?

Yes the vertical breast lift is also called the lollypop lift.  This procedure is performed for breast that have a moderate amount of sag and require a reduction of the lower breast skin for optimal lift.

Why do I have to have a vertical lift?

A vertical lift can be used for most lift requirements where a moderate amount of skin sag is noted.  Other alternatives are the Benelli breast lift and the anchor pattern breast lift.

What is the benefit of a vertical lift over the other types?

The vertical breast lift allows for a more significant control over the breast shape in the lower aspect of the breast when a moderate amount of sag is present and reduced the length of the scars in the lower breast when compared to the anchor pattern procedures.

Will I have a scar under the breast?

No, the vertical breast lift does not have a transverse scar across the breast fold but the end of the lollypop does extend to the breast fold itself.

Is the areola removed during a vertical breast lift?

No, the areola and the nipples stay attached to the breast tissue as the breast skin is reshaped.
