The surgery required for implant replacement is very similar to the initial implant surgery, however it usually has a shorter recovery because the breasts have already been shaped by the initial implant surgery and do not need to adjust to a new implant of the same size.
If a revision surgery is required for anything else than implant leak, the procedure may be quite more involved, depending on the particular issue being addressed.
